Runnin’ for Rhett

Created by Beth & Randy Seevers, in honor of their son who was born with cerebral palsy, Runnin’ for Rhett strives to teach children to utilize fitness and moving to help others.

Hollywood Park Elementary has proudly participated in this program for several years. Students train, run, and work on improving their skills in preparation for a 5K run twice a year.

Our goal is to give our students a well-rounded education that encourages them to develop a passion for learning, to show empathy for one another, and to become real-world problem-solvers.

In order to educate the whole child, we work hard to provide enrichment opportunities for all of our students.  Here are some of the programs we offer:

* A Speech Language Pathologist for 19 years; this is her 2nd year at HPE

* Experienced in working with preschool, elementary & middle school, and with with hospitalized adults

* Ms. Merriman says, “It is my desire to help my student understand how their story relates to the larger world, in relationship to geography and history.  My hope is to help my students develop a better foundation for expressing themselves within the context of this larger world, to tell their own stories as they understand the importance of their place in this bigger picture.”

Hollywood Park Elementary School is a small neighborhood school, located in the Hollywood Park neighborhood, between Land Park and South Land Park.  We celebrate the charm that our tight-knit, community school has to offer.  Students in grades Kindergarten-6th Grade participate in a multitude of exciting learning opportunities.  Join us!
