SEL, or Social Emotional Learning, focuses on educating the
whole child, with an emphasis on character education. SEL
teaches students to be responsible decision-makers, who practice
age-appropriate social skills, manage their emotions, and
effectively resolve conflicts.
At HPE, we strongly believe that our students are more capable of
achieving academic success when they have a solid foundation of
character upon which to build. These skills will travel
with them throughout their school years and beyond.
